Participation in Goradia Debate Competition

Three students from DAV—Keshavi Somani of Grade XII ‘A’, Yashica Sharma of Grade XI ‘C’, and Kartik Joshi of Grade IX ‘B’—participated in the Goradia Debate Competition, held online by the Indian School on 8 August. The event was open to students from Grades VII to XII.
Yashica took part in the Bridge category, Keshavi in Extempore, and Kartik in the Turncoat Debate, each competing via separate Zoom links. Participants were assessed on four key aspects: argumentative strength; connections and comparisons with contemporary events; screen/audio management, speech structure, and conversational flow; and the overall quality, coherence, and use of language.
All three students were awarded Certificates of Participation by the organising institution. Their preparation and training were guided by Mr. Anjal Tajpuria from the English Department.
