Chairperson Bestows Character Tree and Star Student Awards to Senior and Middle School Winners

DAV Chairperson, Shree Anil Kedia, in the presence of Vice-principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal and Senior School Co-ordinator Mr. Tank Meghji Devji, bestowed the Character Tree Award and the Star Student Award during a special morning assembly today (5th November, 2025).
As per the results, the recipients of the Character Tree Award from Grade VIII were Unisha Sharma, Aaron Maharjan, Aaditya Sah, Parishna Bastola, Aarohi Thapa, Suryanshu Jha, Riya Ambastha, Aashir Bhandari, and Siddhesh Kalawar.
From Grade IX, the awardees included Panash Suwal, Arushi Jha, Amani Shah, Saurabhi Subedi, Subagya Baniya, Ganga Nahata, Mohit Sharma, and Yash Khemka.
Similarly, the recipients from Grade X were Baibhabi R. Laxmi Shah, Ved Vishwakarma, Smarika Dahal, Asmik Ojha, Aarya Dangol, Garima Chaudhary, Maison Man Malekhu, Naitik Modi, Purvansh Bhatta, and Noor Jamal Ahmed.
From Grade XI, the winners were Roshan Sah, Aashwi Jalan, Deba Pratik Khatua, and Chirag Agrawal, while Grade XII honourees included Siddhartha Singh, Nandani Rai, Aakarsh Singh Rajput, Sonali Jaiswal, and Anurag Choudhary.
In the same ceremony, Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia also conferred the Star Student Awards, honouring outstanding students for their exceptional performance. The recipients were Prasiddhi Ghimire (Grade V ‘C’), Aachal Mohta (Grade V ‘H’), Anaya Risal (Grade VI ‘A’), Koushik Poria (Grade VI ‘H’), Manashi Thakur (Grade VII ‘A’), Aanya Jha (Grade VII ‘H’), Sovel Adhikari (Grade VIII ‘B’), Avanie Rai (Grade VIII ‘H’), Sushant Maharjan (Grade IX ‘E’), Dibyansh Shah (Grade IX ‘H’), Shubham Singh (Grade X ‘E’), and Aaditya Jaiswal (Grade XI ‘C’).
Additionally, Annual Awards—including the DAVSKVB Excellence Award, People Respecting Others (PRO) Award, Read to the Principal Award, Best Portfolio Award, and the Ekalavya Award—were also presented to students of Grade VII, with a total of 20 students being honoured for their achievements.
Addressing the assembly, Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia extended heartfelt congratulations to all the winners. He highlighted that the core motto of DAV School is character building, emphasising that values such as honesty, discipline, helpfulness, and gratitude are the foundation of success in life. He remarked that “character is the only permanent asset in human life,” reaffirming the school’s long-standing commitment to nurturing essential human values since its establishment.
He further encouraged students to always respect their parents, teachers, and seniors, while showing care and kindness to their juniors. He concluded by advising students to focus more on building character rather than being overly concerned with reputation. The programme was compered by Ms. Asha Khadka, Head of the English Department.
