Visit to Vocational Laboratories of Don Bosco Institute, Thecho Lalitpur
The students of Grade VIII conducted practical
exercises of Occupation Business and Technical Education (OBTE) at vocational
laboratories of Don Bosco Institute, Thecho, Lalitpur on 24th and 25th August,
The students Grade VIII A, B and C sections visited laboratories and conducted their practical works on August 24. Similarly, the students of Sections D, E, F and G from same grade attended the practical classes on August 25.
Students were trained on sewing, stitching, beauty, health science, including IT and Electronics. The officials of Don Bosco also demonstrated and briefed some innovative technologies during the visit.
DAV School launched Vocational Course prior to the Government decision to introduce OBTE Education in the country.
In fact, the School had marched in that direction to meet the learning need of 21st century learners and upgrade as per the Standard of World Class School.
However, DAV School has now been teaching the governments' course as soon as OBTE text books were immediately developed and launched by the authorities.
For more information, DAV School and Don Bosco Institute signed in a Memorandum of Understanding from where DAV School students have been visiting Don Bosco Labs for the practical work.
