Visit to Himalayan Art Exhibition, Babar Mahal

Date: Sep 1st, 2026

On 27th August, a total of forty-six students from Junior School to Grade XII visited the Himalayan Art Exhibition at Babar Mahal, Kathmandu, as part of an educational visit organised by the Art Department.
The students were accompanied by Mr. Rajumuni Bajracharya, HOD of the Art Department; Ms. Samita Maharjan, Uttam Kiran Art Club In-charge; and the Art teachers of the Junior School.
According to the Art HOD Mr. Bajracharya, the main objective of the visit was to give students an opportunity to experience Himalayan art closely, understand its cultural and artistic significance, and gain inspiration from original artworks beyond the classroom. The visit also aimed to encourage students to observe different artistic techniques, themes and styles, while developing their appreciation of Nepal’s rich artistic heritage.
The exhibition provided students with a valuable opportunity to connect classroom learning with real works of art through direct observation.
