Grade X Family Jamboree 2026: An Evening of Joy, Talent and Togetherness

As the regular school bells fell silent on the afternoon of August 25, 2026, Buddha Hall came alive with an unmistakable warmth. The Grade X Family Jamboree for the 2026/27 academic session was far more than a routine school gathering—it was an evening of smile, pride, and heartfelt connection, bringing together students, educators, and parents into one tight-knit community.
Layout and atmosphere set a welcoming tone right from the start. DAV School's Patron Shree Anil Kedia and the First Lady Shreemati Sunita Kedia were received with deep affection by the Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao and Mr. Ramchandra Khanal. Adding to the significance of the afternoon was a distinguished circle of guests from diplomacy, social service, and commerce. Chief Guest Shree Bhawesh R. Trivedi, Director of the SAARC Secretariat, graced the gathering alongside Special Guest Ms. Pushpa Bisht from the Embassy of India and Guest of Honour Ms. Baba Sarkar Shrestha, President of Active Women Nepal. Prominent community figures—including Rajesh Agrawal, Kabindra Joshi, Ajay Ghiraiya, Yulia Koirala, Sangita Mayur, Kiran Agrawal, and Dilli Sharma in the long list—were warmly welcomed by Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia and the school leadership.
The ceremony opened on a deeply meaningful note as the traditional lamp was lit, its flame symbolizing light and learning, followed by a soulful Hindi mashup song and the reverent melody of the National Anthem. Once the welcome address set the stage, the students took over, filling the hall with creative energy. The stage sparkled with a rich variety of performances—from a captivating Nepali fusion dance to a bold, unexpected blend of semi-classical Kathak and modern hip-hop. A playful interlude of parent games brought joyous cheers and camaraderie across the room, celebrating the vital role families play in the school journey.
In a thoughtful address, Chief Guest Mr. Trivedi reminded the assembly that true education goes beyond textbooks—it rests in building inner character, wisdom, and empathy. His inspiring words struck a chord with everyone present. The evening then swept into its celebratory grand finale with uplifting English musical numbers, emotive thematic dance, and a high-energy Bollywood sequence that left the audience beaming. Closing with a sincere vote of thanks by Ms. Sashilta Rai, the Jamboree concluded not just as an event, but as a cherished memory for the Grade X family.
