On 15th July, an insightful individual counseling session on "Personal Safety, Respect, and Positive Relationships" was conducted for Grade 4 students via video call in the Grade 5/6 Library. Led by registered nurse and life coach Preethi Bhaskar, the one-hour program aimed to promote safe play, healthy friendships, and respectful behavior among peers. During the session, students were guided on the importance of playing safely, openly sharing their concerns with teachers, and building strong, supportive bonds with their classmates according to School's Counselor Ms. Shreejana Rana.
The program placed a strong emphasis on mutual respect and empathy. Students were encouraged to treat everyone with dignity, specifically learning to address peers by their given names rather than using hurtful nicknames. Additionally, the discussion highlighted the value of taking responsibility for one's actions and offering sincere apologies as a crucial life skill for maintaining healthy relationships.
The session proved to be highly interactive and successful. Students enthusiastically participated in the discussions, happily sharing their personal experiences and expressing their thoughts. Demonstrating a clear understanding of the key concepts covered, the Grade 4 students engaged meaningfully throughout the interactive session before its successful conclusion.
