Educational Tour of Grade IX to Bandipur, Gorkha and Kurintar

A total of forty-six enthusiastic students of Grade IX are participating in an educational tour to Bandipur, Gorkha and Kurintar from 28th to 30th December, 2025.
The tour is being conducted under the guidance of School Support Officer Mr. Prashant Samal and Senior School Co-ordinator Mr. Tank Meghji Devji, along with two accompanying teachers, who are supervising and supporting the students throughout the journey.
As shared by Mr. Umesh Maskey, Grade IX Teacher, the journey commenced on 28th December with a scenic road trip from Kathmandu to Bandipur, fondly known as the “Queen of Hills.” Upon arrival, the students explored Bandipur Bazaar, various temples, historical and cultural monuments, and Tundikhel. They also visited a hilltop temple, where they enjoyed breathtaking panoramic views. The students further observed the Boudha Gumba, enriching their understanding of the region’s cultural diversity. The day also featured an adventurous hike to Siddha Gufa, the largest cave in Nepal and the second largest in Asia. After the thrilling cave exploration, the group proceeded to Gorkha Bazaar, the headquarters of Gorkha District. The day concluded with an exciting campfire, making the evening lively and memorable.
On 29th December, the students visited Gorkha Bazaar and the historic Gorkha Durbar, a site of immense national significance that played a pivotal role in the unification of Nepal. Following the visit, the group departed for Kurintar, Dhading. They will be staying at Kurintar Villa this evening.
On 30th December, the students will undertake a hike to observe the confluence of the Budhi Gandaki and Trishuli rivers. They will also enjoy lunch amidst the natural surroundings before returning to Kathmandu, thereby concluding the enriching three-day educational tour.
Overall, the educational tour is expected to provide students with a valuable opportunity to explore Nepal’s natural beauty, historical landmarks and rich cultural heritage, leaving them with unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation of their country’s legacy.
