Debate Competition for Grade IX and X CBSE Students

Kabir Sahitya Samaj organised a Debate Competition for Grade IX and X CBSE students in Jetavan Hall on 10th November 2025. The event aimed to develop students’ critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and public speaking skills, while encouraging them to express their views confidently on socially relevant topics.
For Grade IX, the debate topics were: “Family plays a greater role in the personality development of children” for the motion, and “School plays a greater role in the personality development of children” against the motion. For Grade X, the participants debated “Zoos are a violation of animal rights” for the motion and “Zoos are a good source of education” against the motion. The audience comprised students of Grade IX 'I' and Grade X 'H'.
In Grade X, out of 13 contestants, Himakshi Agrawal from Section G secured the first position, followed by Sumit Gupta (Section H), Darshil Agrawal (Section F), and Parth Agrawal (Section F) in the second, third, and consolation positions respectively.
In Grade IX, among 11 contestants, Sakshi Shah from Section J won the first position, while Riya Ambastha (Section G) and Rudra Gupta (Section H) were awarded the second and third positions respectively.
