Shlokbachan Competition for Grade VI Students

Janardan Sanskrit Club organised a Shlokbachan Competition for Grade VI students in Pratik Hall on 10th November. A total of fifty-three selected students, divided into ten groups, participated in the event. They recited a variety of shlokas, including Saraswati Stotram, Ram Stotram, Gopi Geetam, Bhavaynastakam, Madhurastakam, Charpatpanjarika, Achyutastakam, Debyaparadhakshyamapanam, Shivamanas Stotram, and Rudrastakam.
The competition was evaluated by Mr. Sudarshan Adhikari and Ms. Santa Kumari Thapa Magar, both Sanskrit teachers. The programme was moderated by Mr. Purushottam Rijal, Head of the Sanskrit Department, and Mr. Niranjan Khatiwada, Sanskrit teacher.
According to Mr. Rijal, the main objective of the competition was to encourage and motivate students to recite shlokas accurately and with proper rhythm.
Among the ten groups, the first position was awarded to the students of Section C: Shashank Jha, Hanna Maharjan, Tenzing Phensem Sherpa, Karm D. Shakya, and Roshna Maharjan. Section A secured the second position, while Sections D and F shared the third position.
