Chess for All’ Inspires Students to Embrace the Game

An orientation programme was organised to promote the ‘Chess for All’ initiative in Indu Hall on July 24. The session was attended by the students of Grades VII and VIII and conducted by the Prefect Council, with the enthusiastic participation of around 200 students.
During the session, Mr. Shyam Lal Das, Middle School Mathematics Teacher introduced the basic rules of chess and highlighted how the game enhances concentration, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
The primary objective of the programme was to spark greater interest in chess among students and to foster a strong chess culture within the school.
