Sanskrit Speech Competition for Grade IX and X Students

Janardan Sanskrit Club successfully organised a Sanskrit Speech Competition for the students of Grades IX and X on 14th July in Jetavan Hall. The event captivated the audience with eloquent and thought-provoking speeches delivered by 11 selected participants. Students spoke on a range of profound topics, including Samaya (Time), Sanskritbhasa (Sanskrit Language), Vidyā Dhanam Sarvadhanan Pradhanam (Knowledge is the Supreme Wealth), Rashtrasya Krite Swabalamban Apariharya (Self-Reliance is Essential for the Nation), Paryavaran (Environment), Janani Janmabhumischa Swargadapi Gariyasi (Mother and Motherland are Greater than Heaven), Santosha (Contentment), Paropakār (Altruism), Rāshtriyata (Nationalism), Vishwabandhutva (Universal Brotherhood), and Satsangati (Good Company). The participants were evaluated by Mr. Niranjan Khatiwada and Mr. Sudarshan Adhikari, who assessed the speeches based on linguistic proficiency, conceptual clarity, and overall presentation. The event was moderated by Mr. Purushottam Rijal, Head of the Sanskrit Department. Students from Grade X ‘F’ and ‘G’ were present as the audience. The results of the competition were as follows: Muskan Jayswal secured the first position, followed by Ujjwol Dhoot in second, Keshav Agrawal in third, and Aaryan Nigam in fourth place. Janardan Sanskrit Club continues to uphold the legacy of its founder, the late Janardan Ghimire—an eminent Sanskrit scholar—by fostering appreciation and excellence in Sanskrit language and culture.
