Investiture Ceremony and Club Induction – Middle School (Grade V to VIII)

The Investiture Ceremony and Club Induction for Middle School (Grade V to VIII) was held in Buddha Hall today (27th May, 2025). This significant occasion was graced by the presence of Mr. Chakra Joshi, Superintendent of Police, Lalitpur District, who served as the Chief Guest alongside the Guest of Honour- Chairperson, Shree Anil Kedia.
The programme commenced with a warm and inspiring welcome by the Principal, Dr Bhubaneswari Rao. She addressed the newly appointed student leaders, reminding them that they had been selected not only for their talents but also for their honesty, commitment, and the trust placed in them by their teachers and peers. She emphasised that the badge they now wore symbolised responsibility and trust.
The Principal further encouraged the student leaders to lead with kindness and to be role models. She urged them to support their classmates not only in academic matters but also in personal growth, and to contribute to a school environment where every student feels respected, heard, and valued.
Following her address, the Principal formally handed over the School and House flags to the newly elected Head of the Student Council and administered the oath of office to the newly appointed members of the Student Prefect Council, along with the Executive Representatives of the Houses and Clubs for the academic year 2025–26.
Badges were ceremoniously presented to the new student leaders by the Chief Guest, Chairperson, and other esteemed dignitaries, marking their official induction into office.
In his address, the Chief Guest, Mr. Joshi, expressed his sincere appreciation to the school for the invitation and said he was honoured to be part of such a well-organised and meaningful event.
Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia also congratulated the newly appointed student leaders and extended his best wishes. He spoke about the importance of discipline and highlighted the need for students to communicate in English within the school to prepare themselves for the global competition.
A highlight of the ceremony was the announcement of the Inter-House Competition results for the academic session 2024–25. Mt. Machhapuchhre House was awarded the Best House Trophy with 420 points. Mt. Machhapuchhre was closely followed by Mt. Gaurishankar House with 400 points.
The event also featured captivating cultural performances. Students presented a graceful Bharatanatyam recital and traditional Nepali dances that celebrated the country’s rich cultural heritage and national pride.
Parents and guardians of the Student Prefect Council, as well as House and Club representatives, were invited to attend the event and lend their encouragement to the young leaders.
The ceremony was efficiently anchored by Mr. Surchen Shah, Activity In-Charge for Middle School, and Ms. Pratikshya Nepali, Senior School Teacher.
