
Mr. Karthik P. Leads Orientations for Sagarmatha Sambaad and Balbalika tatha Yuwa (Ba Yu) Sambaad, 2025

Mr. Karthik P, a dedicated school counselor and TGT Social Science, is leading orientation sessions to prepare students and teachers for the upcoming International Conference Sagarmatha Sambaad, 2025 and national conference- Balbalika tatha Yuwa (Ba Yu) Sambaad- National Level Climate Action, 2025.
Ba Yu Sambaad is scheduled in Kathmandu on 26th April, 2025. Similarly, Sagarmatha Sambaad will be held in Kathmandu from 16th to 18th May, 2025 under the theme “Climate Change, Mountains, and the Future of Humanity.”
The main objective of the orientation session is to ensure confident and meaningful participation from the DAV community in both conferences.
As a part of preparation for Ba Yu Sambaad- National Level Climate Action, 2025, a total of 120 students participated and among them a total of 9 students were selected initially by the panel of Judges- Ms. Aarti Shama (HOD, Social Studies), Mr. Rajumuni Bajracharya (Art HOD), Ms. Sita Sharma (Commerce), Ms. Ranju Shrestha (Science) and Ms. Sushma Lamsal (Social Studies). Finally, 5 students secured their place in Ba Yu Sambaad.
This youth-led event jointly organized by the Government of Nepal, United Nations Nepal, UNICEF Nepal, FAO Nepal, UNDP Nepal, Nepalese Youth for Climate Action (NYCA), Mountain Youth Hub (MYH),World Food Forum (WFF) Nepal, Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN) Nepal, and Clean Energy Nepal (CEN). According to Mr. Karthik, a total of 100 youth from all the 7 provinces are participating in the panel discussion in this Ba Yu Sambaad. Among them 5 students are from DAV School. On 22nd April, DAV School students also attended orientation session with UNICEF representatives.
Working alongside a committed team of faculty members, Mr. Karthik has been guiding students through interactive workshops, video sessions, and group discussions. These sessions focus on helping students to understand crucial topics like environmental protection, mountain ecosystems, and the important role of youth in climate action.
In addition, Mr. Karthik aims at providing platform for around 400 students from Grade III to XII to participate in the initial round of orientation for Sagarmatha Sambaad. From this group, 20 to 30 students will be carefully selected to represent DAV School at the event.
