A group of eight enthusiastic students from DAV School, accompanied by Senior School Co-ordinator Mr. Tank Meghji Devji, embarked on enriching 10-day educational and cultural exchange tour across France, Switzerland, and Belgium from 7th to 16th April, 2025.
This exciting experience was made possible through the collaborative efforts of SEPR Lyon and Lefrehindi.
The tour commenced in Lyon, France, with school visits and cultural immersion. On 9th April, students received a warm welcome at SEPR with an introductory presentation, followed by an engaging ATF workshop and a vibrant performance of Nepali dance. The day concluded with a visit to the historic Institut Lumière and shopping at the popular Part-Dieu Mall.
On 10th April, the group travelled to Geneva, Switzerland. Highlights of the day included visits to the iconic Broken Chair Monument, the Red Cross Museum, and the world-renowned CERN research centre. Students rounded off the day with some souvenir shopping before returning to Lyon for dinner.
The 11th April itinerary offered a rich cultural experience of old Lyon. Students explored the city's charming streets, took a funicular ride to the Fourvière Basilica for a panoramic view of the city, and visited the Roman Theatre Arena. A guided tour of the Musée des Confluences followed, and the day ended with a delightful Hyderabadi biryani dinner, specially prepared by a local Indian chef.
On 12th April, the group boarded a high-speed TGV train to Paris. Upon arrival, they enjoyed a packed schedule featuring a visit to the Eiffel Tower and a scenic cruise along the Seine River.
The following day, 13th April, the students set off for Brussels, Belgium. There, they explored the city centre and participated in a fun-filled treasure hunt before returning to Paris that evening.
On 14th April, the group spent an unforgettable day at Disneyland Paris, enjoying the thrill of rides and the magic of the world-famous park.
The final day, 15th April, featured a guided industrial visit to the Fragonard Perfume Factory, luxury shopping at Galeries Lafayette, and a visit to the iconic Sacré Cœur Basilica, before departing for Charles de Gaulle Airport to return to Nepal.
Overall, this international education exchange programme gave students a wonderful mix of learning, exploring new cultures, and growing as individuals. It left them feeling inspired, more aware, and full of unforgettable memories.
