A Team of 35 Martial Arts Students Demonstrate Robust Sports Culture Nurtured by DAV at the 4th Swoyambhu Friendly Taekwondo Championship, 2026

A team of 35 martial arts students have once again brought pride and joy to the DAV School family with their outstanding performance at the 4th Swoyambhu Friendly Taekwondo Championship- 2026 on June 27 . Competing in both Poomsae and Kyorugi events, the young champions displayed courage, discipline, and determination, winning an impressive total of 6 Gold, 10 Silver, and 21 Bronze medals.
In the Poomsae event, Gold medals were won by Akshunna Rai and Aaradhay Khadka. Silver medals went to Reeva Shrestha, Sambriddhi Naral, and Agrim Budhathoki, while Bronze medals were secured by Reyansh Thapa Magar, Sayon Shahi, Aangsuk Lama, Asmina K.C., and Shreya Bajracharya.
In the Kyorugi event, Gold medals were won by Suruchi Thakur, Agrim Budhathoki, Aakriti K.C., and Shanaya Gupta. Silver medals were earned by Konkyok Moktan, Reyansh Thapa Magar, Arika Paudel, Prapti Kasaju, Albin Maharjan, Nismang Sherma Limbu, and Roji Jugjali Magar. Bronze medals were claimed by Raunak Thakur, Nyalosh Rana Magar, Syalon Rana Magar, Saloni Thakur, Abiral Dhakal, Sherolene Rana Magar, Siddhartha Gautam, Nikita Thakur, Ojashwi Dangol, Antara Gurung, Shreya Nemkul, Sahasra Kayastha, Tanishqa Shah, Shreya Gupta, Nivaan Karki, and Avinamra Poudel.
The students competed in the 11–14 years Poomsae category and the 20 kg to 68 kg Kyorugi weight categories. Among the outstanding performers, Agrim Budhathoki and Reyansh Thapa Magar won medals in both Poomsae and Kyorugi, showcasing their versatility and dedication.
