Date: Jul 29th, 2024

On July 26, DAV School hosted an event titled 'Muffins with Mothers,' an interactive and inspirational program that invited a representative mother from each section and class across the entire school.
The event was graced by DAV Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia, Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao, Vice-Principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal, and CAO Ms. Vijaya Tater, along with SSO, Wing Coordinators, Heads of Departments, and teachers. They warmly welcomed the mothers and facilitated a one-period interactive session in all the classrooms.
Following the interactive sessions, a special assembly was held where students honored their mothers with khadas and tokens of love. In his address, Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia highlighted the profound respect that mothers command in life, sharing personal reflections on the comfort and safety he felt under his mother's care. He urged students to honor and appreciate the sacrifices and hard work that mothers put into nurturing their children.
Addressing on the auspicious occasion, the Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao said that it was privilege and honor to invite mothers to the morning assembly and highlight their invaluable significance in their children's lives. She noted that DAVSKVB School is deeply rooted in Vedic philosophy, where mothers are revered as "Matru Devo Bhava" (Mother is God). She referenced the honor given to mothers in ancient texts, from the Rigveda to the epic figures of Kunti from the Mahabharata and Kaushalya from the Ramayana, who exemplified ideal parenting.
The Principal also stressed that education is a collaborative journey, a shared responsibility between the school and families, to nurture, guide, and inspire young minds. She acknowledged the invaluable contributions of mothers in helping children achieve academic success at DAVSKVB. She also encouraged students to always remember and cherish the sacrifices and efforts of their mothers in all aspects of life.
Similarly, a representative mother, Ms. Ambika Kandel, took the opportunity to speak, motivating students to respect both parents and teachers. She emphasized the importance of avoiding actions that could lead to regret and expressed her gratitude to the school for organizing such a wonderful program, extending her best wishes to all.
As part of the celebration, the Music Department and students from the Natikaji Music Club performed songs in tribute to all the invited mothers. The mothers were treated to delicious muffins and snacks, providing an opportunity to interact with the Chairperson and the Principal.
