DAV School Shines in MIS T-10 Cricket Cup, 2024

Once again, DAV School demonstrated remarkable prowess in the Interschool MIS Cricket Cup 2024, hosted at the MIS cricket ground from 19th to 22nd May, 2024.
In their journey to victory, DAV defeated Kendriya Vidyalaya by an impressive 100 runs in the first match, securing a spot in the semi-finals against Triyog School. Chasing a target of 25 runs set by Triyog, DAV achieved victory without losing a wicket in just 1.4 overs. In the final showdown, DAV set a target of 92 runs for MIS, who managed to score 74 runs.
The DAV team was honored with the championship trophy, with each player receiving individual medals and merit certificates. Kamal Shah from DAV was lauded as the best bowler of the tournament. The event witnessed participation from six schools.
The outstanding achievements of the DAV cricket team were led by Kritik Gyawali (Grade XI) as captain and Shreyas Agrawal (Grade XI) as vice-captain. The team included Shivam Jain (Grade XII) as the wicketkeeper, along with Lakshya Garg (Grade XI), Prasanga Poudel (Grade X), Aarush Jha (Grade IX), Prasiddha Jaishi (Grade X), Rounak Mishra (Grade X), Subrat Mallick (Grade X), Keshav Agrawal, Kamal Shahi (Grade VI), Tanshiq Shah (Grade IX), Prince Shah (Grade IX), and Aarush Gupta (Grade IX).
The DAV team was managed by Mr. Purnendu Ghosh as the Team Manager, with Mr. Dilip Yadav serving as the Team Coach and Mr. Durgesh Thapa as the Assistant Coach.
Overall, DAV School claimed the first position trophy in the tournament, showcasing their dominance in the field. The MIS Cup 2024 featured a range of interschool competitions including cricket, football, badminton, table tennis, and chess.
