Sangha Dan and Dhamma Deshana

DAV Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia along with his Family organised 'Sangha Dan' and 'Dhamma Deshana' on the auspicious occasion of 57th Birth Anniversary of his brother Late Sushil Kedia at the School premises on October 8. Honourable Bhikkhu Shobhana, Vice-chairperson of All Nepal Bhikkhu Association, honourable Bhikkhu, Bimalo along with Bhantes and Nuns from Munni Bihar Bhaktapur, Bishwa Shanti Vihar, Baneshwor, Balambu Bihar and Shakyasingh Bihar, Patan made the gracious presence in the Sangha Dan rituals. Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia wholeheartedly welcomed all the Bhikkhu, teachers, students and 'Buddhamargi' on the auspicious occasion and quoted, 'DAV takes Sangha Dan as the major school programme'. He further explained and said, 'the programme like Sangha Dan, Dhamma Deshana and Vipashyana Dhyan can make human being more ethical, moral and wise'. Bhikkhu Bimalo further made preaching and explained the importance of Sangha Daan in the line of Lord Gautam Buddha. According to Bhikkhu Bimalo, Sangha Dan is the greatest donations that can prepare foundation to 'Nirwan' for all the human beings. As a part of Dhamma Deshana, he made preaching on 'Chatur Arya Satya', 'Astangimarga' (Sheel, Samadhi and Pragya) and then explained the way to Nirwan (Dan, Shil and Bhawana). Meanwhile, he also showcased the way of acquiring Physical, Biological and Spiritual properties from Buddhist theology. Bhikkhu Shobhana prayed for the Nirwanprapti of Late Shree Sushil Kedia and his parents Late Shree Shankarlal Kedia and Late Shreemati Indumati Kedia. The Sangha Daan started with the lighting of the lamp followed by 'Shil Prayer', 'Panchashil Prayer', 'Paritran Path', 'Astadan', 'Punyanumodan' and 'Bhojan Dan'. Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia, the first lady Shremati Sunita Kedia and their beloved son Mr. Ayush Kedia offered Sangha Daan to all the Monks and Nuns. DAV School family is participating in Sangha Dan right from the inception of the school. The entire school family with sincere devotion has been praying for the sanctity and holiness of the departed souls of late Sushil Kedia in the spirit of the Patron Shree Anil Kedia. For more information, DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati is a memorial school that was established in 1993 AD by Late Shankarlal Kedia in the memory of his youngest son Sushil Kedia. Vice-principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal, CAO Ms. Vijaya Tater, SSO Mr. Prashant Samal, Senior School Co-ordinator Mr. Tank Meghji Devji, Middle School Co-ordinator Mr. Krishna Joshi, Junior School Co-ordinator Mr. Andrew Fitz Patric and Kindergarten Co-ordinator Ms. Shanti Gurung along with all the faculty heads were there to extend generous hospitality and warm welcome to the monks and nuns at the School premises.
