DAV Students Support Flood Relief through ‘Art for Hope’ Exhibition

Three students of DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati School participated in the ‘Art for Hope’ exhibition held at Nepa Banquet from 4th to 6th September, which was later extended by two days. The exhibition aimed to support victims of the recent floods in Nepal, with 70% of the proceeds from artwork sales donated to flood relief and 30% allocated to the artists.
Anandita Shrestha of Grade VIII-G exhibited three paintings, Shivansh Baidh of Grade VII-H presented one painting, and Manas Poddar of Grade XI-C displayed two paintings. Two paintings of the Head of the Art and Craft Department Mr. Rajumuni Bajracharya were also exhibited. Anandita’s one painting was sold during the exhibition, contributing directly to the relief initiative.
In recognition of their participation, the students received certificates and cash awards during the school assembly on September 9. Their involvement reflected the power of creativity, compassion and community spirit in supporting people affected by natural disasters.
