Expressing his gratitude, Mr. Kapali thanked the DAV School Management and the Music Department for providing him with the opportunity to conduct a workshop for the country’s future musicians. During the workshop, he introduced students to a range of traditional Newari instruments—including the Bhusya, Khin, Madal, Nagara, Mwali, Bansuri, and Sarangi. A renowned multi-instrumentalist, music composer, song-writer, and classical musician, Mr. Kapali shared the history, cultural significance, and usage of each instrument. His dynamic demonstrations captivated the audience and enriched their learning experience.
On behalf of the School Management, Vice-principal expressed his appreciation to the Music Department for conceptualizing such an innovative programme. He extended his gratitude to Mr. Kapali and Kathmandu University for their collaboration. He further emphasised that students who pursue music in the future will remember the authenticity and purity of the musical performances showcased during the workshop. He also recited a short stanza of a Nepali poem, highlighting that music embodies truth, teaches us to speak kindly, and remains a companion in both sorrow and joy. Vice-principal added that DAV strives to integrate such skill-based programmes into teaching and learning to help students grow into complete human beings.
In the same spirit, Mr. Raju Singh, Senior Musician of the country remarked that the session provided a valuable learning opportunity for him. He wholeheartedly appreciated the Mangal Dhun presented by Natikaji students at the start of the workshop and expressed his hope that collective efforts will continue to elevate and refine the art of music.
