Story Telling by Parents

On September 9, parents of Grade I and II students visited their children’s classrooms to share engaging moral stories.
The parents were warmly welcomed by the Junior School Co-ordinator, Mr. Andrew Fitz Patric, who oversaw the activities in each classroom. The students were delighted to have their parents and the Junior School Head joining them for this special occasion.
For Grade II, the participating parents included Ms. Poonam Swami (Section A), Ms. Pragya Acharya (Section B), Mr. Ramhari Adhikari (Section C), Mr. Dipak Joshi (Section D), Mr. Sailesh Uprety (Section E), Ms. Sachita Thapa (Section F), Ms. Ankita Sharma (Section G), and Ms. Sachita Kapali (Section H).
In the same trait, the storytellers for Grade I were Ms. Saraswoti Bhandari (Section A), Dr. Lok Raj Chaurasiya (Section C), Ms. Esha Yadav (Section D), Ms. Aarati Manandhar (Section E), Ms. Manisha Thapa (Section F), and Ms. Samjhana Kandel (Section G).
This event is a part of the school’s long-standing community partnership initiative, which has been a fixture in the Junior School calendar for two decades. The concept, developed by the Principal, aimed at strengthening the bond between parents and the school. The stories shared by the parents emphasized important moral values, encouraging students to develop into kind and responsible individuals.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ramhari Adhikari, a Grade II parent, praised the event for fostering a meaningful connection between parents and children within the school environment.
Similarly, Mr. Rishikesh Thapa, a Grade I parent, described the event as a creative and enjoyable approach to learning. He was impressed by the students’ enthusiasm and expressed hope for similar programmes in the future.
Dr. Lok Raj Chaurasiya, a Grade I parent also found the experience valuable, despite his busy schedule, as it provided an opportunity to engage with the children. He remarked that the initiative helps revive the tradition of storytelling, which has become less common over time.
All the participating parents expressed their gratitude to the school management for offering this unique opportunity to engage with their children in the classroom. The Storytelling by Parents event was a resounding success, with students showing clear excitement and joy throughout the programme.
