Principal Announces Student Council Election Results for Senior and Middle Schools

Date: May 7th, 2025

The Principal, Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao, announced the results of the top portfolio holders of the Student Council for both the Senior and Middle Schools for the academic session 2025–26 during a special morning assembly today (5th May 2025). The elections for the key positions—Head Boy, Head Girl, Cultural Captain, and Sports Captain—were conducted over a 2-day period, from 2nd to 4th May 2025.
For the Senior School (Grades IX to XII), the newly elected leaders are Darsh Agrawal as Head Boy, Malavika Rao as Head Girl, Kritik Gnawali as Sports Captain, and Yukta Ghimire as Cultural Captain. Remarkably, all four students hail from Mt. Dhaulagiri House, marking the second time that a single house has secured all top positions—an achievement the Principal described as truly admirable and rare.
In the Middle School (Grades V to VIII), the elected members of the Student Council are Noah Gabriel Khaling Rai as Head Boy and Seema Thakur as Head Girl, both representing Mt. Kanchanjanga House. Shekhar Sah, from Mt. Lhotse House, has been elected as the Sports Captain, while Eva Fatima of Mt. Annapurna House takes on the role of Cultural Captain. The Principal extended heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and applauded every nominee for their enthusiastic participation, emphasizing that this is just the beginning of their journey in understanding leadership and democratic values.
The Principal also took a moment to inspire every student, reminding them that each one holds the potential to be a leader. She encouraged all students to stay disciplined, focused on academics, and committed to personal growth, reinforcing the idea that leadership is a responsibility everyone can aspire to.
On this occasion, the Principal also announced that the elected council members, along with the Prefect Council, Executive Club leaders, and House representatives, will soon be formally inducted in a grand Official Badging and Cultural Programme. However, due to ongoing construction work on the school grounds, the Investiture Ceremony will not be held outdoors this year.
In closing, the Principal offered her heartfelt blessings to all students, wishing them success and fulfillment in their future endeavours.
