Newton Science Club of Secondary School organized
Inter-house Science Extempore for Grade IX and X students in Jetavan Hall on
June 24.
According to Club In-charge Mr. Phanindra Timalsina, the objective of competition was to encourage students to think out of box.
Some of the topics of extempore were Merit and Demerit of Technology, Impact of Social Media, Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Today's World, Global Warming and its Impact, Androids are better than Iphone and so on.
As per the results, Ritisha Thapa from Grade IX 'A' won the first position followed by Aishworya Singh –X 'I' and Anushka Jaiswal- X 'G' in the second and third position respectively. The judges were Science teachers Shovan Bhandari and Asha Khadka.
As many as 80 students from Grade X 'C' and 'D' sections were the spectators of the programme. The moderator of the programme was Muskan Joshi.
Similarly, Science Club organized Chemical Awareness Presentation programme for Grade XI Science students on June 28. The reason behind organizing presentation was to generate awareness about physical and health hazards of chemicals.
