
Good Luck Hawan for Grade X SEE Students, 2025

On 7th March 2025, the Sanskrit Department of DAV School conducted a Good Luck Hawan Ceremony for Grade X SEE students in Indu Hall. This annual event, held before the Board examinations, aimed to invoke blessings and instill confidence among students.
The Hawan was conducted by Mr. Purushottam Rijal (Head of the Sanskrit Department) and Mr. Niranjan Khatiwada (Sanskrit Teacher), with Vice Principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal serving as the Yajaman. The students actively participated in sacred chants, including Om Mantra and Gayatri Mantra, followed by essential Vedic rituals such as Swasti Baachan, Agnay Daan, and Shanti Path.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice-principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal emphasised the spiritual importance of Hawan, highlighting its role in fostering concentration and positive energy. Vice-principal elaborated on its scientific and traditional significance, linking it to the legacy of Maharishi Dayananda Saraswati and DAV’s values. He also encouraged students to remain dedicated to their studies and make the most of their preparation time.
Following the Hawan, Grade IX and X SEE In-charge Mr. Narayan Khatiwada and the class teachers extended their best wishes to the students. The ceremony concluded with Aarati, devotional Bhajans, and the distribution of tika, prashad, and certificates as a token of good luck.
As a fitting end to the event, the students enjoyed a Good Luck Party at the school canteen, making the day even more special.
