Educational Excursion to Military Museum, Chhauni, Kathmandu

The students of Grade VI CBSE embarked on an educational excursion to the Military Museum, Chhauni, Kathmandu on February 7. It was a part of project work of Social Study subject according to Middle School teacher Mr. Santosh Ray. The main propose to take students for educational excursion to Military Museum is to study old manuscript, inscription and archaeological evidences and add new insights to historical studies. Similarly, the Excursion aimed at broadening the students understanding to the history of nation and honour the sacrifices of the armed forces in nation building. A total of ninety-two students from Grade VI CBSE participated in the programme. They were accompanied by Middle School teachers, Mr. Santosh Ray, Ms. Pratikshya Ojha and Mr. Aakash Bishwokarma. As a part of excursion, the students collected the reports of comprehensive timeline of Nepal's military history, artifacts, memorabilia and other bravery displays of the Nepali soldiers in different era. Overall, the exhibits covered a wide range of topics, including the Gurkha tradition, historical battles, weaponry, and the evolution of the Nepalese Army. DAV school has been organizing different nature of tours, visits, excursion and field trip in the home and aboard every year. Such events significantly contribute to the students' character development and broaden their perspectives beyond the classrooms. .
