Celebration of the First Bagless Day and International Friendship Day (Grades V to IX and XI)

Date: Aug 3rd, 2025
DAV School celebrated the first Bagless Day of the academic session 2025/26 alongside the International Friendship Day for the students of Grades V to IX and XI through a variety of engaging activities.
According to Senior School Activity In-charge, Mr. Tankanath Ghimire, only students from Grades IX and XI took part in the celebrations. During the first half of the day, they participated in friendship band-making and exchange activities, alongside classroom events organised by their respective class teachers. In the afternoon, the students watched the full-length film Little Heroes, which highlights the significance of friendship in human life. Additionally, short films titled The Buddies and The Hands were screened on smart boards within their classrooms.
Students in Grades VII and VIII also engaged in friendship card-making and exchange activities, accompanied by a talent show dedicated to their friends, as well as a potluck party held in their classrooms. Furthermore, Grade VIII and sections 'I' and 'J' of Grade VII viewed friendship-themed movies via smart boards in their own classrooms. Meanwhile, Grade VII students from sections A to H were taken to Indu Hall for a special movie screening.
For Grades V and VI, all students participated enthusiastically in band-making and card-making competitions within their classrooms. Approximately two hundred students also demonstrated keen interest by participating in football and basketball tournaments.
Overall, the first Bagless Day of the 2025/26 session and the celebration of the International Friendship Day proved to be a tremendous success.
