Celebration of International Women's Day - 2024

DAV School celebrated International Women's Day extending a special invitation and gratitude to representative mothers from the realms of business and banking, spanning Kindergarten to Grade XII at the School premises on March 7.
The Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao, Vice Principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal, CAO Ms. Vijaya Tater along with all the School authorities heartily welcomed all the legendary mothers at the School premises and participated in honouring and felicitating during the ceremony with the students and teachers.
Addressing on the auspicious occasion, the Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao shortly introduced the history of women's day celebration among the students. The United Nations has developed a theme, “Invest in women - accelerate progress” for International Women's Day (IWD) 2024. Each year, on 8th, the world marks International Women's Day (IWD) to renew collective commitment to achieving gender equality.
The Principal noted that the School decided to honour and felicitate the women in business and banking sectors keeping intact the themes forwarded by United Nations. Adding to this, the Principal applauded the initiations taken by all the invited mothers to take the society to 'Gender Neutrality' stage throughout the country.
In addition, the Principal believed that the celebration of International Women's Day with representative mothers from business and banking was an evidence of a practical dimension of learning for the students.
The Principal noted that DAV School is committed to inculcate the culture of 'Gender Neutrality' among its students where both boys and girls have equal respect for each other. The Principal strongly believed that it is important for all to keep the feelings of 'Gender Neutrality' as a part of being most conscious creature in this planet.
This is a unique initiative aimed at celebrating the achievements and contributions of women in these influential sectors while providing students with real-life role models.
The diverse group not only showcased the diversity of professional experiences but also demonstrated the myriad of career possibilities available to the students in their future careers.
Vice Principal, Mr. Ramchandra Khanal extended his heartfelt gratitude to all the invited mothers for sparing their invaluable time for the students despite their busy schedule.
