CBSE Organizes Workshop and Training for CBSE Teachers of Nepal

In a progressive move towards academic excellence, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, India organised an insightful workshop and training session for all the CBSE Teachers of Nepal at DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati School, Kathmandu on February 13. Ms. Rita Taneja and Mr. George Attupankil Thomas from New, Delhi, India were the resource persons of the training session. The theme for the workshop was, 'Learning Outcomes and Pedagogies'. DAV Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia and Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao whole-heartedly welcomed the trainers at the school premises and wished for a fruitful session to all. A total of sixty-three teachers from nine CBSE Schools of Nepal actively participated in the training session. The school that participated in the training and workshop were DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati School, Kathmandu, Modern Indian School, Kathmandu, Kendriya Vidyala, Kathmandu, Euro Kids School, Kathmandu, Alok Vidyashram, Kathmandu, Nepal Bharat Maitri Vidyalaya, Pokhara, The Chandbagh School, Kathmandu, Rai School, Kathmandu and Rupy's International School, Kathmandu. The training in fact was a part of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) initiated by CBSE, New Delhi, India. The trainers made presentations and involved all the participants in different activities. The topics that were discussed on the day were, 'Framing Learning Outcomes based on Bloom's Taxonomy', 'Pedagogical Approaches to Achieve Intended Learning Outcomes' and 'Evaluating Learning Outcomes'. The Principal of DAV School, Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao applauded the initiative, stating, "The training session will motivate and inspire all the educators to adopt progressive teaching techniques as per the need of modern learner." Furthermore, the Principal said that the training session has successfully empowered educators with cutting-edge teaching methodologies, fostering a conducive environment for holistic development of the students. The Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Embassy of India in Nepal Mr. A. Gerald also attended the training session. The teachers participating in the workshop were highly grateful to the resource persons for sharing their invulaube knowledge. They equally believed and shared that the training session will certainly help them to bring desired results in the classrooms.
