DAV Students Collect Appraisal at 8th National Yoga Day

DAV School Students have once again demonstrated brilliant Yoga Skills and collected appraisal from all the attendees at 8th National Yoga Day Celebration Programme held at CTEVT premises, Sanothimi Bhaktapur on January 15.
The 8th National Yoga Day witnessed various programs across the country. The slogan of 8th National Yoga Day was ‘Desire for Healthy Life: Yoga, Education and Sadhana’.
Impressed by the performances of DAV, including Sainik Maha Vidyalaya Bhaktapur, Patanjali Yog Samiti Nepal, Jeevan Bigyan Samaj and Department of Sanskrit, Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur, Prime Minister Shree Pushpakamal Dahal (Prachanda) noted that the Yoga and Meditation education is needed to all the School Children across the country. He also highlighted the benefits of Yoga.
The celebration programme was organized by Education and Human Resource Development Center and Education Development and Co-ordination Unit under Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
The 8th National Yoga Day Celebration was proposed by Dr. Hariprashad Pokhrel (Manasagni). Dr. Kshitiz Barakoti and Dr. LP Bhanu Sharma were the distinguished guests among others.
DAV Students demonstrated Sukshma Vyam, Surya Namaskar, Group Postures, Kriya Yog, Aashan, Pranayam and Nauli among other forms of Yoga. The students of DAV who demonstrated brilliant Yoga Skills are Siya Agrawal- Grade XI 'B', Atharva Subedi- Grade IX 'A', Sayaka Maharjan – Grade X 'D', Aarya Mishra –Grade X 'H' and Leona Shrestha- Grade VI 'C'.
Similarly, Yoga HoD of DAV School Mr. Alok Kumar Mishra and Yoga Teacher Ms. Sunita Pachkoti also attended the programme.
