Late Sushil Kedia Memorial Sports Gala Begins for the Session 2026/27: 15th Inter-School Table Tennis Tournament Successfully Conducted

The Physical Education and Sports Department of DAV School successfully organised Late Sushil Kedia Memorial 15th Inter-School Table Tennis Tournament on 17th and 18th August, 2026.
The tournament saw the participation of 11 schools, including DAV, with around 110 students taking part.
The tournament was inaugurated by Middle School Co-ordinator Mr. Krishna Joshi in the presence of Sports HOD Mr. Purnendu Ghosh, Table Tennis Teacher Mr. Sanjay Aryal, and faculty members of the Sports Department.
The tournament featured individual and team events across different age categories. After several intense and competitive matches, DAV School emerged as the champion in the Boys’ Team Event, followed by AVM School in second place. United School and Shristi Academy shared the third position.
In the Girls’ Team Event, AVM secured first position, followed by Swastishree Gurukul in second place. MIS and United School shared the third position.
Likewise, in the Under-16 Boys’ Event, Reeevan Muni Bajracharya of DAV secured first position, followed by Swornim Shakya of AVM in second place. DAV and Shristi Academy shared the third position.
In the Boys’ Under-12 Event, Aarav Malla of AVM secured first position, followed by Anyash Sharma Regmi of AVM in second place. Toran and MIS shared the third position.
In the Girls’ Under-16 Team Event, Arsana Maharajan and Shyra Shakya, both from AVM, secured first and second positions, respectively. Swastishree Gurukul and United School shared the third position.
Likewise, in the Girls’ Under-12 Event, Angela Chhetri and Kavya Shakya, both from AVM, secured first and second positions, respectively. MIS and PSBS shared the third position.
The overall results saw AVM securing first position, while DAV finished in second place.
The winners were honoured with trophies, medals and certificates by Mr. Ramchandra Khanal in the presence of Senior School Co-ordinator Mr. Tank Meghji Devji, Sports HOD and faculty members. The overall co-ordination of the event was carried out by Mr. Sanjay Aryal, Table Tennis Teacher at DAVSKVB.
