Date: Aug 12th, 2026
Newton Science Club took the initiative to create a platform for middle school students to teach their juniors on August 10.
As a part of the programme, Club In-charge Ms. Shreejana Neupane selected a team of seven students from Grade VIII to conduct Science classes for Grade III students.
The participants were Aagami Aryal (Section ‘A’), Aarohi Devkota (Section ‘A’), Sadira Thapa (Section ‘B’), Aditi Thapa (Section ‘C’), Mona Mishra (Section ‘C’), Ananyaa Risal (Section ‘D’), and Minoli Karki (Section ‘E’).
The students were assigned to prepare lesson plans on Human Body Parts and The World of Birds for the programme. They used their own teaching materials and tools to make the lessons engaging and informative.
The programme aimed to foster a sense of responsibility and empathy among middle school students towards younger learners. It also sought to strengthen the connection between middle and junior Schools students, provide a new learning experience for the juniors, and give the middle school students an opportunity to share their knowledge through teaching.
The Grade III Science teachers evaluated the teaching performance of the Grade VIII students and submitted their feedback to the Newton Science Club In-charge on the same day.
