Stone Painting Workshop

The Art and Craft Department, in collaboration with the Uttam Kiran Art Club, organised a colourful Stone Painting Workshop for students of Grades V to IX in the Art Hall on July 27. A total of 58 students took part in the workshop and transformed ordinary river stones into beautiful works of art.

According to Art Club In-charge Ms. Samita Maharjan, the main objective of the workshop was to encourage creativity and help students explore natural materials as a unique canvas. She shared that painting on stones helps students think creatively, improve their artistic skills, develop fine motor skills, and express their ideas in a fun and relaxing way.

The competition was judged by Art Head of Department Mr. Rajumuni Bajracharya and Art Club In-charge Ms. Samita Maharjan. The artworks were evaluated on the basis of creativity and neatness.

As per the results, Nidhi Shakya of Grade V 'F' secured the first position, while Renee Pradhan of Grade V 'C' came second. Soniksha Chaudhary of Grade VII 'E' won the third position. Consolation prizes were awarded to Abhik Upadhyaya of Grade VIII 'E', Aarna Agrawal of Grade V 'B', and Deepika Sharma of Grade VIII 'B'.

The winners will be honoured with merit certificates in recognition of their outstanding performance soon.
