ICAN-11 Team of DAV School Community Wins Indian Ambassador's Cup 2026

The ICAN-11 cricket team, made up of teachers, alumni, and current students of DAV School, won the Indian Ambassador's Cup 2026 at the TU Cricket Stadium on 28th June, 2026. Mr. Purnendu Ghosh, Head of the Physical Education and Sports Department was the captain of the team.
The tournament was held from 26th to 28th June and featured eight teams. It was played in a knockout format. ICAN-11 played three matches and won all of them to become the champions.
In the final against the Embassy of India team, Mr. Shankar Poudel gave an excellent all-round performance. He took three wickets for 21 runs in three overs and scored 26 runs, earning the Man of the Match award. The final was played under floodlights and was an exciting contest.
In the semi-final against Legend 11, captain Mr. Purnendu Ghosh scored a quick 46 runs from 20 balls and also took two wickets for 17 runs in two overs, helping his team reach the final.
After the final match, representatives of the Embassy of India presented the winning team with the championship trophy.
The champion ICAN-11 team included DAV School teachers Mr. Purnendu Ghosh (Captain), Mr. Dilip Yadav, and Mr. Shankar Poudel; alumni Mr. Ayush Jha, Mr. Shreyash Agrawal, Mr. Bhabya Sharma, and Mr. Ajay Khandelwal; and current students of Grade XI Keshav Agrawal and Arjun Bhandari. Their excellent achievement has made the entire DAV School community proud.
