Date: Feb 24th, 2026
A total of 146 enthusiastic Grade VI students (90 boys and 56 girls) embarked on an educational excursion to Chitlang–Kulekhani on 21st and 22nd February 2026.
The students departed from the school on 21st February and reached Chandragiri Hill via cable car, before descending to Chitlang. During the tour, they enjoyed boating at Kulekhani Dam and participated in a short trek around Chitlang, exploring its scenic beauty and cultural heritage.
The excursion was organised under the guidance of Middle School Co-ordinator Mr. Krishna Joshi, accompanied by ten middle school teachers. All students and teachers returned safely to Kathmandu, refreshed and enriched by the experience.
DAV regularly organises educational tours for interested students to various parts of the country during Dashain vacation, winter break, and at the end of the academic session. In addition, the school arranges international tours to destinations such as the USA, Bangkok, Germany, France, Spain, and India for deserving and keen students at regular intervals.
The school firmly believes that such tours foster effective learning, promote personal development, enhance social and historical understanding, cultivate critical thinking, encourage respect for culture, broaden perspectives, and support effective communication.
