Winners of ‘Himalini Gyan Kunj’ Essay Competition Honoured

The results of the ‘Himalini Gyan Kunj’ Essay Competition, organised by the monthly magazine Himalini, have been announced. Altogether, 17 students from three schools in Kathmandu took part in the competition. The participants were honoured at a special programme held in Kathmandu.
During the event titled Hindi Sahitya Utsav, organised by the Embassy of India, certificates of appreciation were given to the students and their teachers by Vashistha Nandan.
From DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati School, the participants were Sakshi Gupta, Shubh Kumar Dhanuka, Chanchal Mohata, Angel Bhardwaj, Khushi Goyal, and Sadaf Khurshid.
Among them, Sadaf Khurshid of Grade X secured the second position, while Chanchal Mohata of Grade IX secured the third position. The first, second, and third position holders received shields and certificates, while the other participants were given certificates of appreciation.
On the occasion, the chief guest, Vashistha Nandan, congratulated the students and encouraged them to continue working with creativity and enthusiasm. He also said that the essay competition organised by Himalini magazine is a good effort to promote the Hindi language.
The DAV students were accompanied by their Hindi teacher, Smriti Srivastava. During the programme, she shared her views on the storyteller and novelist Vrindavanlal Verma and explained that his writings reflect the spirit of his time and create interest in history. She added that his works beautifully combine history and literature.
