One-Day Workshop on Emerging Pedagogy in Learning for Middle School Teachers

DAV School Management successfully organised a one-day workshop titled “Emerging Pedagogy in Learning” for all Middle School teachers on 11th January 2026 at Pratik Hall, Primary Block, Shankar Sadan.
The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Hemant Raj Dahal, an eminent educationist and the resource person for the programme. Mr. Dahal is currently an Associate Professor at KUSOED, serves as an Advisor to NELTA, is a TESOL international trainer, and has previously worked as a visiting professor at Thongsook and Siam Technology Colleges. His vast academic and professional experience enriched the sessions and provided teachers with valuable insights into contemporary teaching practices.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Shreejana Bajracharya, followed by a warm reception of the resource person by the Middle School Co-ordinator, Mr. Krishna Joshi.
During the workshop, Mr. Dahal elaborated on various emerging pedagogical practices, including blended learning models, differentiated instruction, personalised learning, digital pedagogy, gamification and game-based learning, open education and open pedagogy, pedagogy of care, deep learning in pedagogy, place-based learning, and dialogic teaching. He emphasised how these approaches can enhance student engagement, address diverse learning needs, and promote critical thinking, collaboration, and meaningful learning experiences
The sessions were interactive and practical, encouraging teachers to reflect on their classroom practices and explore innovative strategies that can be effectively implemented in middle school classrooms. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Samita Raut, who expressed gratitude to the resource person and the management for organising such a meaningful professional development programme.
At the end of the training, all participants were honoured with Certificates of Achievement, acknowledging their active participation and commitment to professional growth. The workshop proved to be highly enriching and reinforced DAV School’s commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
