Reading Competition for Grade V and VI Students
Date: Dec 22nd, 2025
Kabir Sahitya Samaj organised a Reading Competition for Hindi language students of Grades V and VI in their respective classrooms on December 21. The competition aimed to develop correct pronunciation, improve fluency, enrich vocabulary, and build reading confidence among middle-grade learners. The competition was made mandatory for all the Hindi language students.
According to Ms. Indu Thakur, In-charge of Kabir Sahitya Samaj, the primary objective of the programme was to motivate students towards accurate and expressive reading while familiarising them with new and age-appropriate Hindi vocabulary.
The event was judged by Ms. Smriti Shreevastav, who appreciated the students’ enthusiasm and reading efforts. DAV School has been consistently organising reading competitions across all language subjects and firmly believes that such programmes play a vital role in enhancing students’ comprehensive language skills and fostering a lifelong love for reading.
The winners were honoured with Certificate of Achievement immediately after the competition.
