Awareness Programme on Mental Health Held for Grade VI Students

On 2nd December, Vocational Department organised an Awareness Programme on Mental Health for Grade VI students, with nearly 300 students taking part. The session included two speakers: Dr. Pragya Karmacharya Rajbhandari and Ms. Rita Lawati from the Self-Help Group for Cerebral Palsy, Dhapakhel, Lalitpur.
Vice-principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal warmly welcomed the resource persons on behalf of the School Management. The speakers talked about mental health, cerebral palsy, and other disabilities. The school expressed special thanks to Mr. Shusil Man Singh Pradhan, CEO of Cerebral Palsy Nepal, for his support in making the programme possible.
According to Mr. Ananta Maharjan, Head of the Vocational Department, the programme aimed to build empathy, respect, and active inclusion among students by increasing their knowledge and social-emotional skills.
The programme was co-ordinated by Mr. Bijay Lama, Life Skills teacher. Overall, the session proved to be a meaningful learning experience, encouraging students to develop a more caring and inclusive mindset.
