English Elocution Competition for Grades III and IV Students

William Wordsworth Club of Junior School organised the much-anticipated English Elocution Competition for Grade III and IV in the presence of the Junior School Co-ordinator, Mr. Andrew Fitz Patrick, in Pratik Hall today (28th November, 2025).
A total of 16 students—one from each section of Grades III and IV—were selected to participate, showcasing their impressive oratory skills. According to the Club In-charge, Ms. Eni Subba, the objective of the programme was to nurture public speaking abilities, enhance articulation, encourage creativity, and build stage confidence among the students.
Participants recited a diverse range of poems. The poems presented included Hark! Hark! The Lark, Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening, The Road Not Taken, Silver, The Swing, Daffodils, The Tyger, Where the Mind is Without Fear, Your World, The Morning March, The Forest of Play, Dare to Dream, Kindness Tree, Nature’s Little Wonder, There Isn’t Time, and A Letter.
As per the results for Grade III, Saanchi Dhoot of Grade III ‘H’ secured the first position, followed by Raisha Prajapati Dangol of Grade III ‘F’ in second place and Yashvi Shah of Grade III ‘G’ in third place.
In Grade IV, Aarav Barmel of Grade IV ‘C’ and Farheen Azam of Grade IV ‘F’ jointly secured the first position. The second position was awarded to Ayusha Dahal of Grade IV ‘B’ and Bharosa Gautam of Grade IV ‘G’, while Lunasha Raegmi of Grade IV ‘E’ achieved third position. All winners will soon be honoured with Certificates of Achievement.
The competition was judged by Mr Asha Khadka, Head of the English Department. The programme was moderated by Aaliya Noor of Grade IV ‘A’ and Aslesh Pokhrel of Grade IV ‘B’. Students of Grade IV formed the audience for the event.
