Sushil Kedia Memorial Inter School Sports Gala- 2025 Concludes, Police School Crowned Cricket Champions

The first Sushil Kedia Memorial Inter School Sports Gala, 2025 concluded with grand success with closing ceremony of 7th Sushil Kedia Memorial Inter School Indoor Cricket Tournament at the School's main ground yesterday (27th August, 2025).
The tournament, held from 8th to 27th August, witnessed the participation of 91 schools' team competing in six different sports events. The Sports Gala, 2025 featured Taekwondo, Table Tennis, Badminton, Basketball, Football and Cricket.
In cricket, Nepal Police School clinched the title by defeating LRI in the final. Aryan Shah of Police School delivered an outstanding performance in the final, while Abhi Thapaliya of LRI was declared the best player of the tournament.
The winners were felicitated with trophies, medals, and merit certificates by Senior School Co-ordinator, Mr. Tank Meghji Devji, in the presence of Mr. Purnendu Ghosh, Head of the Physical Education and Sports Department.
In the final match, Nepal Police School registered a convincing victory by 48 runs over LRI School.
Individual awards were also presented to outstanding players. Aarush Jha of DAV School (Team A) won the Best Batter award, Aryan Sah of Nepal Police School was named Best Bowler, Dikshant Mishra of GEMS received the Best Wicket-keeper award, Sanatan Nepal of Radiant Readers Academy earned the Emerging Player award, and Avi Thapaliya of LRI School was declared the Player of the Series.
Additionally, Aryan Sah of Nepal Police School was adjudged the Player of the Final for his brilliant performance, scoring 31 runs and taking 4 wickets.
The tournament was officiated by officials and referees affiliated with the Cricket Association of Nepal.
Before in football, Kanjirowa School secured the title, with Modern Indian School finishing second and DAV taking third place.
In taekwondo, Shree Bishnu Devi School emerged as the winner. In basketball, LRI won the boys’ category while Gyanodaya finished second, whereas in the girls’ category, James School claimed the title.
In table tennis, United School won in the boys’ team category, and AVM triumphed in the girls’ team category. Similarly, in badminton, Nepal Police School emerged victorious.
In the award ceremony, individual awards for best players, emerging players and special recognitions across different sports were also presented across all games.
