Me and My Profession for Grade XI and XII: Learning from Professionals

The Me and My Profession programme, organised by the Parental Involvement Team, was held for Grade XI and XII students on 15th August 2025. This talk aimed to inspire and guide students by sharing real-life professional experiences.
For Grade XI, Dr Rajesh Gurubacharya, a paediatrician at Nirvana Child Health Clinic, Kathmandu, spoke about his career in medicine. He emphasised the importance of dedication, compassion, and skill in becoming a good doctor, and shared the joy of protecting children’s health.
For Grade XII, Mr. Keshav Raj Gnawali, a research consultant from Kathmandu, gave an engaging talk based on his work in teaching, telecommunications, and research. He discussed the need for skills and critical thinking in all careers, explaining how these qualities help create new ideas and solve real-life problems.
Both speakers, who are parents of DAV School students, encouraged learners to follow their passions and choose careers that match their values.
The guests were warmly welcomed by Vice-principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal, Senior School Co-ordinator Mr Tank Meghji Devji and SEE In-charge for Grade IX and X, Mr Narayan Khatiwada. The event was successfully co-ordinated by Mr Tankanath Ghimire, Activity In-charge for Senior School, with the support of the senior school teaching team.
