Inter-House Swimming Competition, 2025

Date: Aug 7th, 2025
The Department of Physical Education, in collaboration with the Sports Club, successfully organised the Inter-House Swimming Competition, 2025 at Bulls Club, Nakkhu, Lalitpur, on the 5th and 6th of August.
The event was conducted separately for boys and girls, with boys competing on 5th August and girls on 6th August. Participation was open only to students who could swim independently. According to Mr. Purnendu Ghosh, Head of the Sports Department, the competition saw the active participation of 75 boys and 56 girls from Grades V to XII. Additionally, 16 young swimmers from the Junior School (Grades I to IV) also took part, bringing the total number of participants to 147.
The swimmers competed in three different categories—Freestyle, Breaststroke, and Backstroke—organised class-wise. Sports teachers accompanied and supervised the participants throughout the event.
Mr. Ghosh stated, “The objective of the Inter-House Swimming Competition was to promote swimming as a complete physical activity that helps in building muscular and skeletal strength through aerobic exercise.”
Winners of the competition will soon be awarded certificates of achievement in recognition of their performance.
In addition to the competition, Kindergarten students were also taken to Bulls Club on 6th August for a fun and recreational swimming experience, allowing the youngest learners to enjoy water play in a safe and joyful environment.
