Orientation on ‘Chess for All’ Initiative for Grades V and VI Students

An orientation session aimed at promoting the ‘Chess for All’ initiative was held on 6th August in Pratik Hall for the students of Grades V and VI. Organised by the Prefect Council, the programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 98 students.
Mr. Shyam Lal Das, Middle School Mathematics Teacher, led the session by introducing the fundamental rules of chess and emphasizing its benefits in developing concentration, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
The primary objective of the orientation was to ignite students’ interest in chess and to nurture a vibrant chess culture within the school community.
