Yog Excursion at Hansada Ashram

Date: Feb 2nd, 2025

On 27th January 2025, a group of 29 selected students from Grades V to XI participated in a Yog Excursion at Hansada Yog Ashram, Janagal, Kavre. They were accompanied by Yog and Sports Teachers, Ms. Sunita Pachkoti and Mr. Tshring Lama.
Upon arriving at the Ashram, the students visited the Samadhi Sthal of Swami Bisuddha Dev, where they paid their respects and prayed for the departed soul.
Following this, the students took part in yog activities in the Ashram's Yog Hall. Swami Panchasheel led the session with prayers and gave an insightful talk on the significance of yog in daily life, emphasising the principles of Ashtang Yog. He also explained the meaning of "Hansada" and the concept of the soul, enriching the students’ understanding.
The programme included practical sessions of Pranayama and meditation, allowing the students to experience the calming and rejuvenating benefits of these practices.
The main aim of the excursion was to provide students with an opportunity to explore yog and meditation while learning about the practices and lifestyle of the yog ashram within their community.
The students expressed that the serene environment of the ashram, nestled in the forest, was refreshing. They also enjoyed the hiking experience, which added a memorable adventure to the excursion.
One of Swami Bisuddha’s inspiring blessings, “Understanding in Brain, Responsibility in Shoulder, and Honesty in Heart,” was shared with the students, leaving a profound message on becoming a righteous human being.
