Educational Tour of Grade X-SEE to Pokhara Valley

A total of 151 enthusiastic students from Grade X-SEE participated in a four-day educational tour to Pokhara Valley from 25th to 28th December 2024. The students were accompanied by Grade IX and X-SEE In-charge, Mr. Narayan Khatiwada, Senior School Activity In-charge, Mr. Tanka Nath Ghimire and nine teachers.
According to Mr. Khatiwada, the students embarked on their journey to Pokhara on 25th December. On the first day, they visited Dhampus, where the local Mother’s Team warmly welcomed them. In the evening, the students enjoyed a traditional Gurung cultural programme in Dhampus, offering a glimpse into the rich heritage of the region.
The second day began with a hike to the Australian Base Camp, where the students admired the breathtaking sunrise views. This was followed by visits to Bindabasini Temple, Pumdikot for Shiva Darshan, and Shanti Stupa. Later that evening, the group returned to Lakeside, enjoying the scenic beauty of Pokhara.
On the third day, the students explored several iconic sites, including Devi’s Fall, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, the International Mountain Museum, Mahendra Gufa, Chamere Gufa, and KI Singh Bridge. The day concluded with a lively cultural programme at Lakeside, adding a joyful and memorable touch to the experience.
The final day of the tour featured boating on Fewa Lake and a visit to the Tal Barahi Temple, offering a peaceful and serene conclusion to the trip.
Overall, the Grade X Pokhara Tour left the students with cherished memories and a deep appreciation for the natural and cultural wonders of the valley, inspiring them to revisit in the future.
This educational tour is an annual programme for Grade X and remains one of the most eagerly anticipated events for students who enjoy travelling and learning.
