Family Jamboree of Grade V

The Family Jamboree of Grade V for the academic session 2023/24 was observed after regular School in Budhha Hall yesterday (27th December, 2023).
The formal programme started with the warm welcome to the parents by Middle School Activity In-charge Mr. Surchen Shah and Middle School Teacher Ms. Pratikshya Nepali followed by lighting the lamp, National Anthem presentation and welcome speech from Middle School Co-ordinator Mr. Krishna Joshi.
The senior member of DAV family, Ms. Sudhana Kumari along with Prof. Dr. Dhruba Karki from Tribhuvan University and Ms. Meena Malla Shah former Officer in NGO, participated in lighting the lamp and paid homage to the departed soul of Late Sushil Kedia and his parents Late Shankar Lal Kedia and Late Indumati Kedia.
They were accompanied by Vice-principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal and CAO Ms. Vijaya Tater.
Middle School Co-ordinator Mr. Krishna Joshi heartily welcomed all the invited parents in the programme and shared that the Family Jamboree is an opportunity for all the students, teachers and parents to come under a roof and celebrate the family bonding with captivating cultural programme of the students.
The auditorium was then rocked with beautiful songs, dances and theatrical performances from the home and abroad. As a part of cultural programme, different group of students presented Nepali and Hindi song, Bharatnatyam dance, Nepali dance, Bollywood dance, ballet, English song, thematic dance and international dance respectively.
The parents were excited to see their children showcasing unbelievable talents in such a forum. The unconditional love and support of the parents' communities were over-poured with thunderous applauses and cheering. It was awesome to observe everyone capturing the joyous moments in their gadgets.
Meanwhile, some interested parents participated in a short fun-filled game competition and further added elegance and ecstasy in to the atmosphere. As per the results, Ms. Hima Kumari Gurung won the first position followed by Ms. Sarika Malla and Ms. Punam Devi in the second and third positions respectively.
They were honoured with the awards by CAO Ms. Vijaya Tater. At the end, a group of student participated in the cake cutting ceremony, wishing everyone a blissful new year.
Similarly, a group of parents were given the responsibility to evaluate all the cultural performance of the students with Evaluation Sheets. The winner group will get an opportunity to have surprising meeting with the Chairperson and the Principal soon.
SSO Mr. Prashant Samal, Senior School Co-ordinator Mr. Tank Meghji Devji, Junior School Co-ordinator Mr. Andrew Fitz Patric, Kindergarten Co-ordinator Ms. Shanti Gurung, HR Aashish Rai along with Faculty Heads were there to extend sincere hospitality and warm welcome to the invited parents.
On behalf of the Teachers' Community, Ms. Saguna Kasaju Shrestha extended a 'Thank You Note' to all for their immense role in making programme the grand success.
