Closing Ceremony of 5th Sushil Kedia Memorial Interschool Cricket

The closing ceremony of '5th Sushil Kedia Memorial Inter School Indoor Cricket Tournament- 2023' was held immediately after the final game at DAV College of Management, Bhanimandal, Lalitpur yesterday (5th September, 2023). Mr. Rajesh Thakur, National Umpire associated with Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and Mr. Tank Meghji Devji, Senior School Co-ordinator honoured the winners with trophies, medals and merit certificates. API school proclaimed the prestigious trophy of '5th Sushil Kedia Memorial Inter School Indoor Cricket Tournament- 2023'. All the team members were honoured with the medals and certificate of achievements. Similarly, LRI School won the runner-up position. The team won the runner-up trophy and all the players were honoured with the medals and merit certificates. API School won LRI School by 2 runs in the final. The target set by API was 55 runs. Similarly, Raghav Sharma from API School won the 'man of the match title' in the final game. Kritik Gyawali from DAVSKVB won the best batsman award. Urwar Shrestha from API School won the best bowler Award. Avi Thapaliya from LRI School won the best wicket keeper award. Shovel Adhikari from DAVSKVB won the emerging player award and Samyam Nepal from Mokshada School won the man of series award. Overall, 'Sushil Kedia Memorial 5th Inter School Indoor Cricket Tournament' saw a participation of eleven schools and nineteen games. The school who participated in the tournament were Adarsha School, Rosebud School, Little Angels School, LRI School, API School, GEMS, St. Xavier's School, Mokshada School, Kavya School, Radiant Readers Academy and DAV School. All the participating school players were also honoured with Certificate of Participation. DAV Sports Academy immensely congratulated all the participating School for making the tournament a grand success. The tournament was conducted by CAN representatives and the volunteers were Sports Club students of DAV School. For more information, Late Shree Sushil Kedia is a younger brother of Shree Anil Kedia, the Chairman of DAV School and Colleges. DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati School was established by Shankar Lal Kedia as a part of compassion and support to her wife Shreemati Indumati Kedia who went through the long grief with the departure of their youngest son at the age of 19. The school has been celebrating birth anniversary of Late Sushil Kedia since from the inception of School. Late Sushil Kedia Birth Anniversary is celebrated every year to pay homage to the departed soul. The activities observed on this auspicious occasion are Interschool Sports Competitions, Religious and Spiritual activities like Hawan, Geeta & Shanti Paath, Preaching, Sangha Daan, Meditation and Blood Donation.
