FoZ Activities on World Environment Day, 2023

National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC), Central Zoo, Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, organised various awareness and creative activities for Friend of Zoo (FoZ) School students on the occasion of World Environment Day in the first week of June, 2023.
DAV students attended the 'Green Walk' and 'Banner Making Competition' initiated by NTNC Management and demonstrated their support to nature conservation.
According to FoZ Co-ordinator Mr. Pradeep Shrestha, a total of forty-two students from Grade IX and X associated with FoZ participated in Green Walk at Lalitpur Metropolitan City areas. Dr. Birendra Prashad Mahato- Minister for Forest and Environment, Ms. Manjali Shakya Bajrachraya- Deputy Mayor, Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Dr. Rewati Raman Paudel- Secretary, Ministry of Forest and Environment and Mr. Sarad Chandra Adhikari- member secretary also participated in the Green Walk and supported all the activities of the School Children.
Similarly, the students who participated in 'Banner Making Competition' are Chanchal Mohata- Grade VII 'G', Namdima Ango Limbu- Grade VIII 'B', Ankita Kumari- Grade VIII 'G', Subhecha Patra- Grade IX 'H', Ishika Bhandari- Grade IX 'I' and Sohalya Jha –Grade IX 'I'.
In addition, the students from Grade IX and X associated with FoZ also participated in 'Litter Pick' activity out of the School premises initiated by DAV Senior School.
The students who attended in 'Litter Pick Activity' are Madan Ojha from Grade IX 'A', Hiten Thokar and Dikshit Acharya from IX 'B', Aksat Shrestha, Aryan Shrestha and Supriti Shakya from IX 'E', Arya Dangol from IX 'F', Deepshikha Sah, Subhecha Patra and Jigyasa Agrawal from Grade IX 'H', Bardan Bajracharya from Grade X 'E', Kritk Gyawali and Darsh Agrawal from Grade X 'H'.
