Farewell of 18th Batch of Grade XII Celebrated at The Soaltee Hotel

The most awaited, "Farewell of Grade XII" was celebrated with grand success at The Soaltee Hotel, Kathmandu on 8th February, 2023.

Dr. Sahil Kumar, the First Secretary (Press Information and Culture), Embassy of India, Kathmandu, Nepal, the Chairperson of DAV School, Shree Anil Kedia, and distinguished guests from the leading corporate houses and education industries were present in the program and added elegance and ecstasy to it.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Sahil Kumar extended his heartfelt gratitude to the School Management for the invitation on such grand occasion and congratulated all the students for the successful completion of 12th Grade.

Similarly, Mr. Yadvender Kant, Mr. Binod Kumar Dhungel, Mr. Tej Bahadur Thapa the top portfolio holders from SBI Bank, Mr. Hemanta Dahal from NELTA, Mr. Paras Shrestha- Principal White Field Secondary School, Chetrapati, Kathmandu, Mr. Sanjay Yonzan- Principal, Araniko Secondary School, Bhote Bahal, Kathmandu, Mr. Bijay Kumar Pradhan – Vice-principal Morning Glory School, Bhote Bahal, Kathmandu, Ms. Pratigya Thapa- Director of Administration and Operation Syneiptein International Kathmandu, Nepal and Dr. Animesh Acharya – Director of Business and Development Syneiptein International, Kathmandu, Nepal attended the programme and congratulated all the graduates of Grade XII.

Addressing the gatherings, Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia wholeheartedly congratulated all the students of Grade XII, along with all the teachers and parents, and motivated them to keep human values and emotions intact for the rest of their lives. He further added that the foundation of education that DAV has presented over the years has become the milestone to success for thousands of students, and the present batch cannot be an exception to this trend.

The Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao presented a farewell speech for Grade XII students and expressed her profound emotional state in relation to the students.

The Principal spoke of the cherishing an emotional side of farewell ceremony and reminded that after graduation of Grade XII they had liberty in choosing their way. She was confident that the students will find their own way to achieve goals with appropriate determination, hard work and honesty. She equally advised them to have right choice by consulting their family, relatives and teachers.

The Principal reminded students to keep their moral values, virtues, and good traits intact so that they could shoulder any responsibility while crossing the path they were determined to travel. She also recited a poem dedicated to the Grade XII students (which was composed a few days ago). The Principal also invited them to visit the school and share their successful stories in academic and professional life in the future, and wished them a bright future.

The program formally started with the customary rituals and followed by various programs like the Certificate of Special Recognition to the Head Boy, Head Girl, Sports Captain, and Cultural Captain, A slide show of memories of the past, teacher acknowledgment by the students, memento distribution, the Mr. DAV and Miss DAV show, a stage show by every student of Grades XI and XII, etc. were observed throughout the day.

The moderators of the programme were Elina Jha and Rohit Sau from Grade XI 'A'.
