Cricket Team Departed for India Tour

The cricket team today collected blessings from the Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao along with all the members of Management team and headed to Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India to play International School Cricket League (ISCL), 2023.

 During the departure, the Principal with confidence shared that the entire team members will demonstrate sportsmanship and determination on the field.   

The cricket league will be held at City Montessori School, Lucknow from 27th January to 1st February, 2023.

The school team, which is made up of talented and dedicated players, will be competing against some of the top cricket teams of International Schools around the world.

For more information, the School Cricket team members to attend ISCL are Aayush Jha, Yash Chiraniya, Shekhar Sarawagi, Sachin Lekhak, Bhabesh Agrawal, Aadarsh Agrawal, Subash Khatri, Ronak Singh, Aayush Yadav, Ravi Sah, Kriti Gyawali, Shreeyash Agrawal, Manoj Yadav and Prasiddha Bajracharya.

The students will be accompanied by Sports HoD Mr. Purnendu Ghosh (Head Coach of the Team) and Sports teacher Mr. Dilip Yadav (Assistant Coach).

Before the departure, DAV School authorities also invited the sponsors namely, Mr. Akshay Bothra- proprietor of Shikar Ply, Mr. Ashish Agrawal associated with Indian Citizenship Association of Nepal, general member of Marwari Yuva Manch and proprietor of Shree Rupana Creation, Ethnic Wares, Sarees and Kurta, Dr. Ashish Jha- Patan Academy of Health Science, Patan Hospital, Lagankhel and also former School Sports as well as Cricket Captain, Mr. Prashant Jain- former all round player of DAV School's Cricket Team and Mr. Sabin Gartaula- CEO, Hexagon Events Pvt. Ltd.

All those sponsors were honoured in the assembly for their immense love and support to School Cricket Team.

Meanwhile, all the team members were introduced in the assembly and Vice-principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal handed jersey to all the players. It was awesome to witness students' cheering and wishing successful journey ahead.

Dr. Ashish Jha also addressed the assembly and motivated the juniors to play sports for health and well being.
